This boat was found in the summer of 2003 at a private residence in Peterborough, Ontario. Although not used for some time, she had been well taken care of by her previous owners. She had been restored about 20 years ago, with 'updated' upholstery, windshield, steering wheel, etc. The interior features were not in original form, but with some research on Shepherds, and advice from ShipnShore upholstery (Dunsford, Ontario), the seat designs were determined, and the originality of the Shepherd Junior from 1958 was reformed.
The entire boat was stripped
and stained, and 6 coats of varnished applied. A new floor was constructed and painted before applying deep red battleship linoleum.
Enjoyed weekly on Upper Chemong
as the main family boat - absolutely terrific for wakeboarding, tubing
and waterskiing! Back in the shop in the Spring of 2009 for a varnish facelift, and installation of a ski bar: <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Crossman's other "baby"..... A 1954 18ft. Lyman Islander, "Sandy".......
