This boat was found in the summer of 2003 at a private residence in Peterborough, Ontario. Although not used for some time, she had been well taken care of by her previous owners. She had been restored about 20 years ago, with 'updated' upholstery, windshield, steering wheel, etc. The interior features were not in original form, but with some research on Shepherds, and advice from ShipnShore upholstery (Dunsford, Ontario), the seat designs were determined, and the originality of the Shepherd Junior from 1958 was reformed.
1958, 15 1/2 ft. Shepherd Junior
"John did a great job restoring my 15 1/2 ft Shepherd. He certainly knows what he is doing. I get alot of looks on the lake when I have the boat out for a run. It will provide years of fun at the cottage. Thanks also, John, for getting me interested in wooden boats!" (by George Crossman)
