1955, 22 ft. Shepherd "Scamp III"

BOAT HISTORY

Scamp III resides with the current owners on an island on Stoney Lake. She was refurbished a number of years ago, giving her a fibreglass bottom which, at the time, served its purpose. Now, after regular use, Scamp III is ready for a complete restoration which will involve returning her bottom to a traditional double plank bottom. The fibreglass job had preserved the boat's bottom to perfection, however the workmanship was very poor, and had been brought up lower sides of the hull much further than necessary. Scamp III Is now looking shiny and new, and is back enjoying those Stoney sunset cocktail cruises!

THE RESTORATION
2026 FRESHEN- UP!

It was a pleasure to hear from the owners of this beautiful boat in the fall of 2025.

Since her full restoration with us in 2009, Scamp III has been lovingly cared for and meticulously maintained. After noticing that the finish was beginning to lose some of its lustre and that the putty seams could use refreshing, her owners entrusted her to us once again for a complete stripping, staining, varnishing, and re-puttying.

When she was delivered back in May, Scamp III looked absolutely pristine—ready once again to grace the waters of Stoney Lake. She now resides in a beautiful boathouse, where she will be well protected and should continue to shine for many years to come.
