"One Boat at a Time"
1948, 16 ft. Peterborough Speedster
BOAT HISTORY
The Speedster is one of eight different boat models built by the Peterborough Canoe Company in the Streamliner class of boats.
Originally purchased by current owner’s grandfather for just under $300. in 1948, the Speedster has always remained in the family. Although not used in over 20 years, after seeing the Chestnut boat restored by John for a neighbouring cottager, the owners decided to pull the Speedster out of storage from a shed and get it to John for a full restoration in 2009.
